While reading this list, I'm sure we can all agree that there was at least one where we think "wow, that really annoys me."A peeve is cause of annoyance. A pet peeve is an annoyance that strikes a specific nerve. But why does our body get annoyed by these little, peculiar acts?  There's no mystery in identifying what annoys us.  The mystery lays in what purpose getting annoyed serves us in the first place.
